Strategy

What a trading strategy is, how it is tested, and how to judge one before you rely on it.

A trading strategy is a written set of rules: which market, which conditions to enter, where to exit, how much to risk on each position — and the conditions under which it should not be traded at all. A strategy that cannot be written down cannot be tested, and one that has not been tested is an opinion.

GOTAFIMA treats a strategy as something to examine rather than something to buy. The questions are always the same: what does it assume about the market, how was it tested, what was its deepest run of losses, and does its risk per trade fit your own account. A return figure on its own answers none of them.

Strategy appears in three places across the institution: as taught material in the GOTAFIMA Academy, as the stated method of each provider on Copy Trading, and — once it opens — as listings on the Strategy Marketplace. The same disclosure standard applies to all three.

This page is a guide. No strategy is sold, ranked or recommended on it, and the Strategy Marketplace is not open yet.
